Plagiarism

What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is "the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own."

What about it?

Kryptview is about contributing to a community, sharing, and having one's work properly acknowledged as bringing value to the group. As such, on the Kryptview app, the following actions are STRICTLY PROHIBITED:

  • copying somebody's scoring

  • copy-pasting public text to use as a comment in the Scoring Wizard

  • copying another contributor's comment to use as one's own

What do you do about that?

Kryptview has detection mechanisms for plagiarism and punishes it by:

  1. on the 1st occurrence: a strict warning, severe slashing of 20% of the user's XP and disqualification for the rewards of the ongoing week

  2. if it happens again, the outcome is a BAN without further notice

Your job

  • SCORERS - Write your OWN comments. It's really not worth the risk of getting a slashing or a ban

  • REVIEWERS - Be alert, read the project resources and do NOT validate comments that are copy-pastes of public texts.

The Kryptview community and the team are always more than happy to help you improve your DYOR skills, don't hesitate to ask around
